    Guidelines & Protocols regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19)

    Dear Valued Guest, as the full impact of COVID-19 continues to evolve, please be aware that EuroHire Car Rental – ‘The Car Hire Specialists’ – are firmly committed to continue to provide you with the same exceptional experience and service we have always delivered.

    The repercussions of COVID 19 are far reaching and will continue to affect all of us throughout Summer 2020. For this reason, we have introduced our ‘Contactless Delivery System’ to ensure that we offer you, as valued guests, a cutting edge system which does not require any human contact for both the delivery and collection of our vehicles.

    We are in continual communication with both the Greek (eody.gov.gr/en) and International authorities (www.who.int) regarding COVID-19 guidelines. Due to our multinational cooperation with Europe’s leading Tour Operators, we have completed multiple online and in-class training courses regarding hygiene protocols and the handling of potential incidents, including information on precautionary measures in order to protect our clients, employees and suppliers.

    Covid-19 Protocols

    • All cars are disinfected at our depot following each rental.
    • All chemicals used are certified by the Greek authorities as chemicals which aid in eliminating COVID-19.
    • All car air-conditioning units and interior areas are sterilised using specialist UV-C lighting equipment.
    • On completion of our thorough cleaning process, all cars will have their 5 points of contact covered by single use, recyclable materials. The points will be the steering wheel, handbrake, gear shift, driver’s seat and drivers foot mat, ensuring that our guests will be the first to come into physical contact with these surfaces.
    • Once parked and ready for delivery, all cars will have a seal sticker affixed to the driver’s door confirming the time and date of parking, plus the name of the staff member who parked the car.
    • Protocols, based on the relevant authorities’ directions, have been issued by the directors of EuroHire to all employees regarding the process of vehicle delivery and collection, for prevention and protection against COVID-19.
    • All our branches are equipped with antibacterial materials (wipes, gel) which are available for use by all customers.
    • A Crisis Management Plan is in place, which will be implemented by EuroHire Head Office in the event of a COVID-19 incident.

    Reservation & Rental FAQ’s

    • What if my travel plans change due to COVID-19 and/or travel restrictions imposed by Governments?
      We are here to help and fully understand your situation. Contact us and we will discuss with you the best
      possible way to accommodate your new travel plans.
    • What if I have contracted the virus and I am now in possession of a EuroHire Car Rental vehicle?
      If you test positive for COVID-19, we ask that you please notify us ASAP to inform us of the location of the
      vehicle. We will then follow strict government set protocols to collect the vehicle.
    • Is there a limitation on the number of passengers allowed in a vehicle?
      The Greek Government has set about the below restrictions due to COVID-19. These limitations apply to
      passengers of all vehicle types throughout Greece.
      For vehicles up to 7 seats, there is a limit of 3 passengers in total i.e. the driver plus two passengers. An
      exception does, however, apply for families with children. In this case, the passengers can reach the maximum
      allowed number (equal to the number of seats of a car). In such case, only parents and children are allowed to
      be in the car. Older children must be ready to present identification documents to Authorities.
      For Vehicles with 8 or 9 seats, there is a limit of 5 passengers in total i.e. the driver plus four passengers. An
      exception does, however, apply for families with children. In this case, the passengers can reach the maximum
      allowed number (equal to the number of seats of a car). In such case, only parents and children are allowed to
      be in the car. Older children must be ready to present identification documents to Authorities.
    • What happens if I have to cancel my rental due to a lockdown or flight cancellation?
      For 2020’, EuroHire Car Rental have removed cancellation fees in these cases. All we ask is that you inform
      us ASAP should your booking be affected. Guests will be given the choice of either a refund or a change of
      reservation dates.
    • What happens if my travel details are changed?
      We will not be charging for changes to travel dates, however charges may apply if pick-up or drop-off locations
      have to be changed.
